Name a Toronto Landmark. Win $5000.
Hey, we’re relinquishing our branding duties and crowdsourcing a name for our latest assignment. Our clients (Cityzen/Fernbrook/Castlepoint) are launching a new condo tower at an awesome location in downtown Toronto right at the corner of Yonge St. and The Esplanade.
We’ve developed a completely customized online application at www.nameourcondo.com where you can register your name. So what are you waiting for? Give it a shot. All you have to do is submit your name and leverage your social network to get votes. Top 10 highest rated names will get shortlisted. Ad campaign starts in a couple of weeks, so get in early.
Oh yeah, we also developed a Facebook app, so you can register there, too!

I have entered this contest and just thought I would put my idea out there since there are so many, shall we say, inappropriate ideas. In case anyone at Blackjet feels the same way.
I am submitting the idea Queen’ Wharf and below is my reasoning:
The area was under water before a government wharf was built, and soon to follow was a garrison. One of the wharf’s names was the Queen’s wharf and was originally located around Bathurst Street but no longer exists. When (I believe) the Miami condos were being built they found scraps of this wharf and sent some to Fort York, Bringing back some history of the port and wharf would bring the attention of residents interested in Canadian History, Toronto’s History, as well as younger generations beginning their own personal voyage.
